Nestled within the only unique fast growing sought after, educational precinct of Braamfontein,  Perfection in LocationLive Sound Studios@SAMRO’s SAMRO House, respectively, Live Sounds Studios is the model recording & rehearsal facility, by many standards unrivaled.

Sharing the space with key industry stakeholders, Collective Music Organizations, (CMO’s) South African Music Rights Organization(SAMRO), South African Music Performance Rights Association (SAMPRA), Composers Authors And Publishers’ Association (CAPASSO) and Other vital players, Dramatic Artistic And Literary Rights Organization (DALRO), MOSHITO, Arts & Culture Trust among many others, this hub is undoubtedly the perfect “me space” that is every musician’s dream.

Founded in 2011 almost as an unintended consequence of excess, unused space at the once star landmark building, Orion Devonshire House, its founder, sought to find the perfect solution. Both as an experienced musician of the once popular 90’s Afro Pop Boy band, as well as a seasoned property professional, a self-made entrepreneur and founder of the premier Real Estate company, Black Realty Property Group, the Live Sounds concept was an absolute no brainer!

As if fate planned it or call it provision or predestination, maybe even karma, or whatever it is, as far back as 1998, Samro House is exactly the same building its founder began his Real Estate career path when it was the still known as Everite house. Today, a creative hub that it is, almost like, “a place and a time where my creativity meets my Realty” – He quips with a broad smile. 

“I simply wanted a place where every independent musician would feel at home, not only technically speaking but an environment within which they would feel understood and cared for. A space and a people with whom they would hold dear, heart to heart conversations. A space Alive with Live Sounds, literally!” The addition of the Creativity & Space programme sums up this vision. There couldn’t have been a perfectly suited haven but SAMRO House. What more could one ask for?
